An
Advisory Service is designed to determine the appropriate schools
for the specific student. To accomplish this, it is necessary
to:...
• read
all records from the student’s educational
history. This includes report cards with teacher comments as well
as all testing and assessments of the student. To allow for adequate
preparation, this information should be made available five working
days before the first appointment.
• meet individually with the
student. This meeting can last from 45 minutes
to several hours, depending on the age of the child, testing needs
and the specific situation.
• administer admission, IQ
or achievement testing if necessary. (There is
an additional fee for these services.)
• meet with the
parents in order to more fully understand the
student. During this meeting, which lasts a minimum of two hours,
questions and concerns will be addressed at length. It is during
this time that specific schools are recommended and the admissions
process is reviewed. Advisory services are concluded at the end
of this meeting. Continued service requires additional fees.
